WR1 Warrior USA Select Series WR1 Warrior USA Select Series

Jackson beginner guitars , the JS Series, provide the quality, playability and sound that guitars from other manufacturers that would cost you twice as much to get. Jackson guitars have long been known for superior quality and great looks. The entry level JS Series does not sacrifice quality or workmanship for a lower price. You couldn't find a better beginner guitar if you tried.

The JS Series Jackson beginner guitars can be purchased for around $300 or less, which is the price point I consider to be reasonable for a beginning guitarist. If you're just starting your journey you need a quality guitar but you don't need a professional level instrument nor do you need to spend professional level money for a great guitar to learn to play on. Any Jackson JS Series guitar will give you all the quality, features and playability you could possibly ask for.

Each Jackson model provides from two to four JS Series versions. I am not going to try to list them all on this page. What I want to do here is give you an example of one of the Jackson beginner guitars from each Jackson body style.

The Jackson JS22R Dinky electric guitar is a superb example of a Jackson beginner guitar. The JS22R Dinky provides great sound, build quality, materials and playability at a very affordable price.

The Jackson JS22R Dinky features a bolt-on maple neck with a 24 jumbo fret, compound radius fretboard with pearloid shark fin position inlays and a reverse headstock with die-cast tuners. The compound radius fretboard is rounder near the nut making it easy to finger crushing Metal chords and riffs, then flattens out as it nears the bridge, making lighting shredding runs easy. This a fantastic feature shared by all Jacksons, regardless of series, shape or price point.

The Jackson JS22R Dinky gets its crushing Metal sound from two high output, custom voiced Jackson JE10 humbucking pickups, and a 2-point fulcrum tremolo bridge. Further tonal capabilites are provided by chrome master volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup selector switch.

As far as price goes, the JS22R Dinky may be a Jackson beginner quitar but will definitely let you rock with the big dogs. If you want a fairly conservative body design with crushing Metal tone and vibe, you need to give the JS22R Dinky a serious look.

  • JS32T Rhoads:

The JS32T Rhoads electric guitar springs from the most iconic and revered of all the Jackson designs. Originally designed by the late Randy Rhoads in the early 1980's, the Jackson Rhoads was the guitar that launched Jackson Guitars.

The JS32T Rhoads features the iconic Rhoads Half-V design with a 25 1/2 inch scale, bolt-on maple neck sporting the jumbo 24 fret, compound radius fretboard that makes all Jackson guitars an absolute dream to play. Of course, the fretboard is dressed with pearloid shark fin inlays(again Randy's design) and the traditional pointed Jackson headstock.

The fabulous sound of the JS32T Rhoads comes from two high output Jackson CVR humbucking pickups and the adjustable JT390 bridge. Augmenting the sound is string-thru-body construction for the awesome tone and sustain that Jacksons are known for. And, of course, to put the finishing touches on this fantastic Metal machine, you get chrome master volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup selector switch.

The Jackson JS32T Rhoads may be a Jackson beginner guitar, but I guarantee that you're going to be the object of major envy when you step up to the stage with one of these beauties strapped around your shoulder.

To sum things up, it doesn't matter whether you buy a Jackson beginner guitar or a high end professional model, you are going to get unrivaled Metal looks and quality of materials and construction that you won't find with any other guitar brand without paying much, much more than you will for a Jackson.

If you couldn't tell, I'm a total Jackson fan. Having played for more years than I care to say, I know where quality is and isn't. I own two Jacksons - both are high end models - a USA Select Custom Kelly KE2 and a RR5 Rhoads Pro . I wouldn't trade them for any guitar no matter what kind of price tag is on it. You just can't get better than a Jackson.

If you're in the market for a fantastic rock and roll machine, do yourself a favor and grab a Jackson. You won't go wrong no matter what Series or level of guitar you choose. To see more Jackson JS Series guitars, visit Musicians Friend, Guitar Center , Music123 or Sam Ash icon.
