Ibanez ICB300EX Iceman Extreme ICB300EX Iceman Extreme

Ibanez beginner bass guitars are a fantastic choice for the beginning bass guitarist. Ibanez electric bass guitars have long been known for their great looks, high quality and fabulous playability. Ibanez is one of the top selling bass guitar companies in the world. Ibanez first drew attention in the '70s and '80s with their neck-thru Musician basses with active electronics and have been a favorite of Rock and Metal players since the late 1970s.

Regardless of price point, an Ibanez electric bass guitar will give you high quality construction, great looks, playability and high value for your money. Ibanez has too many models to list on a single page so I'm going to list examples of models that you can get for $400 or $500 or less, which I consider to be a reasonable amount for a beginning bass guitarist to spend on their first instrument.

Check out the goodies below and enjoy! And, by the way, these bass guitars will provide you with sound, features and playability that will last you long past your "beginner" stage of playing.

The Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro Short-Scale Bass Guitar is not only a great beginner bass guitar but is also an excellent bass guitar for players with smaller hands or for younger players. Its 28.6" scale length makes it perfect for either. It may be a smaller bass guitar but it definitely isn't a toy.

The Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro Short-Scale Bass Guitar's great sound starts with a mahogany body and a 22 fret, rosewood fretboard with pearl dot position inlays.

The GSRM20 Mikro Short-Scale gets its sound from a STD J ceramic single coil pickup at the bridge and a STD P humbucking pickup at the neck. The GSRM20 also sports a B10 bridge. Finishing the package are a chrome master tone knob and separate volume control knobs for each pickup.
All in all, this Ibanez beginner bass guitar is great instrument for beginning bass guitarists or bass guitarists who want a small scale bass guitar that isn't a toy. Give one a try today. You'll love it.

This Ibanez beginner bass guitar packs in a lot of value for the money.

The Ibanez Gio GSR200FM Bass Guitar features a mahogany body with a Flame Maple top and a maple neck with a 22 medium fret, rosewood fretboard with pearl dot position inlays.

The Gio GSR200FM gets great sound from the same pickup configuration as the GRSM20 Mikro but ups the ante with a PHAT-II EQ boost allowing you to dial in additional low end power. In order to completely refine your tone for just the sound you want, the Gio GSR200FM gives you chrome control knobs for the EQ boost, both pickups and a master tone control.

Even though the Gio GSR200FM falls in the price range that I consider to be the Ibanez beginner bass guitar level, don't think that it's only useful for beginning bass guitarists. This gorgeous electric bass guitar will keep you going long past the beginner level.

Even though it falls within my price range criteria for an Ibanez beginner bass guitar, The Ibanez SR300 electric bass guitar is a serious instrument. As usual, Ibanez gives you value well beyond the money you'll spend on this baby.

The Ibanez SR300 bass guitar features an agathis body for great tone and a fast 24, medium fret rosewood fretboard with pearl dot position inlays.

The SR300 is capable of serious tone and sound with a ceramic EXF-4-R ceramic humbucking pickup at the B100 bridge and a ceramic EXF-4-F ceramic humbucking pickup at the neck. Adding to the tonal versatility, the SR300 sports a Style Sweeper 3 band equalizer to allow you to precisely adjust frequencies to get the exact sound and tone that you want.

If you're looking for a very serious electric bass guitar at an astoundingly affordable price, the Ibanez SR300 has you covered.

Things get even better with Ibanez ATK300 Electric Bass Guitar. This thing has so much tone and versatility that you'd swear that it cost five times the price that you can get it for.

The Ibanez ATK300 electric bass guitar features a massive Light Ash body for thunderous bass tone and huge sustain without the guitar weighing a ton. The ATK300's neck is maple with a 22 fret, maple fretboard that has pearl dot position inlays.

Providing the sonic boom for this baby is a ceramic ATK triple coil humbucking pickup that boasts heavy bottom and natural high end tones. You also get an ATK 3-band equalizer for even more tonal control. To help you dial in pretty much any tone you like, the ATK300 sports a boatload of controls starting with a master volume control. For the equalizer you get treble boost/cut, mid boost/cut and bass boost/cut controls and a 3-way tone character switch for traditional, bright and attack tones. On top of all this, you get an ATK4 bridge with optional string-thru-body construction for even more tone and sustain. Holy Bombshells, Batman!

The Ibanez ATK300 may fall within my price range criteria for an Ibanez beginner bass guitar but its features and capabilities rival those of bass guitars costing much more than the ATK300 will. If you're serious about your music, you definitely want to check this monster out.
