A Great Take On A Classic Concept

DBZ Dark Angel

The DBZ Bare Bones Religion Series is another great take on the superstrat concept by Dean B. Zelinsky. These are absolutely great looking, great playing and super high quality electric guitars. These are some serious rock and roll guitars. Any one of them would be a great addition to any serious guitarist's collection.

All the Bare Bones Religion Series guitars not only have sizzling looks but put out seriously hot licks thanks to the custom DBZ pickups that are voiced just for the guitars. In addition, they have a super-snug set-neck joint construction joining a mahogany neck to a mahogany body to produce killer resonance that combines with the DBZ pickups to produce serious tone and sustain.

The series consists of four guitars distinguished from one another by awesomely vivid graphics. The graphics choices are the Dark Angel(my personal favorite), Crucifixion, Devil and Preacher. All four are hot looking guitars. As far as their materials and components specifications go, they all share the same specs so I'm only going to list the specs once. The only difference in the guitars are the graphics.

If you have visited other pages on the site, you know that I like to give you a video review or demonstration of the guitars so that you can see and hear them in action. Unfortunately, I could only find one and it was basically a commercial for some music store(I don't know who it was - they didn't say). The guitar playing and sound quality of the video were both crappy. Three quarters of the "review" was a review of the amplifier they were using. It bored me completely to tears, so I'm not going to inflict it on you. I would love to do a video review myself but none of the shops in my local area are licensed to carry DBZ guitars. I'll keep my eyes open for a decent video of one of the DBZ Bare Bones Religion Series and post it here as soon as I find it.
